Please read these terms carefully before using Yelle services.

Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Yelle ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the Yelle platform, including:

By accessing or using Yelle, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the platform.

Important: These Terms contain an arbitration agreement and class action waiver that affect your legal rights. Please read Section 16 (Dispute Resolution) carefully.

Eligibility

To use Yelle, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
  • Not be barred from using the services under applicable law
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate

For Service Professionals, additional requirements apply:

  • Possess valid government-issued identification
  • Have applicable licenses, permits, or certifications for your services
  • Maintain adequate insurance coverage where required
  • Complete our verification process successfully

Platform Services

Yelle provides a mobile-first service marketplace and community platform with the following features:

1. Chowk Marketplace

A bidding-based marketplace where:

  • Customers can post work requests with descriptions, images, and location
  • Service professionals can view and bid on available jobs
  • Customers select professionals based on bids, ratings, and reviews
  • All transactions are facilitated through the platform

2. Commune Groups

Community features including:

  • Interest-based and location-based community groups
  • Discussion forums and networking opportunities
  • Local recommendations and community support

3. Emergency SOS

Emergency response features including:

  • Quick access to emergency services
  • Real-time location sharing with responders
  • Priority-based emergency response coordination
  • Emergency contact notifications

4. Ad Stories

Instagram-style stories feature for:

  • Local business advertisements
  • Service promotions
  • Community announcements

5. Real-time Communication

WebSocket-powered instant messaging for:

  • Direct communication between customers and professionals
  • Service coordination and updates
  • Support inquiries

User Accounts

Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account by providing:

  • Full legal name
  • Valid email address
  • Phone number
  • Profile photo
  • Other required information

Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized use
  • Ensuring your account information is accurate and current

Warning: Sharing your account credentials with others or allowing unauthorized access may result in permanent account suspension.

User Conduct

When using Yelle, you agree NOT to:

  • Provide false, misleading, or inaccurate information
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
  • Post or transmit offensive, defamatory, or harmful content
  • Spam, solicit, or advertise without authorization
  • Attempt to circumvent platform fees or payments
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect user data without consent
  • Interfere with or disrupt platform operations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts
  • Use automated systems or bots without permission
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Engage in fraudulent transactions or activities
  • Manipulate ratings, reviews, or feedback systems

Service Professional Terms

If you register as a Service Professional, you additionally agree to:

Verification Requirements

  • Submit valid government-issued identification
  • Provide accurate professional credentials and qualifications
  • Undergo background verification as required
  • Maintain current and accurate profile information

Service Standards

  • Provide services with professional skill and care
  • Honor accepted bids and commitments
  • Arrive on time and communicate any delays promptly
  • Complete services as described and agreed
  • Maintain appropriate insurance and licenses
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Bidding and Pricing

  • Submit accurate and honest bids
  • Include all costs and fees in your bid amount
  • Honor quoted prices unless scope changes are agreed
  • Not engage in bid manipulation or collusion

Independent Contractor Status

Service Professionals are independent contractors, not employees of Yelle. You are solely responsible for:

  • Payment of all applicable taxes
  • Obtaining necessary licenses and permits
  • Maintaining appropriate insurance coverage
  • Compliance with employment and labor laws

Payments and Fees

Platform Fees

Yelle charges fees for use of the platform:

Service Fee Percentage of transaction value charged to professionals
Convenience Fee May apply to certain payment methods
Premium Features Optional paid features and promotions

Payment Processing

  • All payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors
  • Customers pay through the platform; professionals receive payouts after service completion
  • Payouts are subject to verification and may be held for fraud prevention
  • Refunds are processed according to our Refund Policy

Taxes

You are responsible for determining and paying all applicable taxes on your transactions. Yelle may collect and remit taxes where required by law.

Location Services

Yelle uses location data to provide core platform functionality:

  • Service Radius: Configurable from 20km to 100km to match you with nearby professionals
  • Real-time Tracking: Location tracking during active services and emergencies
  • Saved Addresses: Store home, work, and other locations for quick access
  • Map Integration: Google Maps integration for address selection and navigation

By using Yelle, you consent to the collection and use of your location data as described in our Privacy Policy.

User Content

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to Yelle, but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content for platform operation and promotion.

Content Standards

All content must comply with our content guidelines. You must not post:

  • Illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Content that infringes intellectual property rights
  • False or misleading information
  • Personal information of others without consent
  • Spam or promotional content without authorization
  • Content that violates privacy or confidentiality

Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our policies, without prior notice.

Intellectual Property

The Yelle platform, including its design, features, content, logos, and trademarks, is owned by Yelle and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute platform content without permission
  • Use Yelle trademarks without written authorization
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Create derivative works based on the platform
  • Remove or alter proprietary notices or labels

Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

Yelle disclaims all warranties including:

  • Warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Warranties regarding the quality or reliability of services provided by professionals
  • Warranties that content will be accurate, complete, or current

Yelle is a marketplace platform. We do not provide services ourselves and are not responsible for the actions, quality, or safety of services provided by Service Professionals.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • Yelle shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Yelle in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • We are not liable for damages arising from services provided by Service Professionals
  • We are not liable for any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Yelle and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the platform
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Services you provide (for Service Professionals)
  • Content you submit or share

Termination

By You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or using the account deletion feature in the app.

By Yelle

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Harmful conduct toward other users
  • Extended period of inactivity
  • Any other reason at our sole discretion

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the platform ceases immediately
  • Pending transactions may be cancelled or completed
  • Outstanding payments will be processed
  • We may retain certain data as required by law or policy

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to contact us first to attempt informal resolution at hey@yelle.services.

Arbitration Agreement

Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules. You agree to waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through:

  • Email notification
  • In-app notification
  • Posting updated Terms on our website

Your continued use of Yelle after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the platform.

General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Yelle
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, other provisions remain in effect
  • Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not constitute waiver of that right
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to affiliates or successors
  • Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our control
  • Headings: Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation
